Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore is a private Engineering College started in 1984 under the auspices of Ramanandha Adigalar Foundation, a charitable educational trust of Sakthi Group.2019 admissions started. This College is About 10 km from Central Bus Stand at Gandhipuram and 2 km off Sathy Road (national highway NH-209 leading to Mysore), the well-developed college campus spreads over a sprawling 150 acres of land. Under the able guidance and patronage of Arutselvar Dr. N. Mahalingam, Chairman, Sakthi Group and with the able administration of Dr.B.K.Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Co – Chairman, Sri. M.Balasubramaniam, Correspondent and Sri. Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, the college has developed excellent facilities and resources such as spacious classrooms, seminar halls, well-equipped laboratories, workshops, well-stocked libraries, dedicated highspeed internet connectivity (broadband) and well-qualified faculty. Five Academic Blocks house the different departments.
Classroom Facilities
The College has spacious classrooms, which are well equipped with contemporary facilities, such as audio systems, Overhead Projects. A well-equipped Resource Generation Room is set-up for the faculty to prepare teaching material and carry out research in their subject. They are designed to provide students with complete comfort for the intense hours of classrooms teaching and interaction.
Hostel Facilities
KCT has a hostel, which is integral part of the college campus. It has two particular segments for young men and young ladies understudies. The gents’ inn comprises four blocks with aggregate of 445 rooms with an ability to oblige 1335 understudies. The girl’s inn has an aggregate of 329 rooms in its three pieces with an ability to oblige 987 understudies. All boys and girls occupants of the inn are given rooms on a triple imparting premise. Every single common zone like eating, washrooms, entryway, porch, and so on are given independently to girl’s and boy’s inns.
Library
Mahatma Gandhi Central Library of our college is housed in the first floor of the Dr. MahalingamVigyanBhavan in an area of 16945 sq.ft. (1575 sq.m.). The main aim of the central library is to provide information services and access to print and e-resources to support the informational needs of the institute community. The fully computerized central library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of books, printed and electronic journals, CD-ROMs, on-line databases, audio video cassettes ,project reports etc. Open Access System is being followed to access the books and journals.
Transport
The College has a fleet of buses, vans and cars to transport students and staff from different places in and around Coimbatore to college and back. These buses operate along different routes starting from different locations approximately between 6.30 and 6.45 a.m. At present 8 buses and 6 mini buses are used.

14 post-graduate (M.E., M.Tech., MCA, MBA) programs of study. All the above courses have the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and all the eligible UG programs have also been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). In addition, KCT has also been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of UGC. ISO 9001:2008 certification further confirms the institution’s commitment to educational quality. 9 of the 15 academic departments have been recognized as research centers permitting research leading to Ph.D. degree by Anna University.
Admission to all undergraduate courses ie. Bachelors in Engineering (B.E.) are carried out through the single window system of the Anna University. Students can choose the courses based upon the state-wise rank calculated by their marks in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Department of Education, Government of TamilNadu.
Reservations are provided for BC/MBC/DNC/SC/ST etc as per the rules of the Government of TamilNadu.
Reservations are also provided for Physically handicapped / Ex-Service men / Sports persons / Other state candidates.
B.Arch Degree Admission:
Candidates having passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination with 50% marks as aggregate. , having Mathematics as a subject of study and obtained 80 marks out of 200 in NATA(National Aptitude Test for Architecture) test in any one of the attempt.
TNEA Admission process will commence after the counselling is over. Candidates have to report in the allotted colleges and submit the fees and complete the admission formalities.Candidates will have to verify there documents in the respective colleges and then pay the admission fees.
Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) was conducted by Anna University previously. But from the few years there will be no entrance exam for admission in various engineering colleges. The candidates will get the admission on the basis of their class XII percentage. The candidates who are meeting the eligibility criteria will be eligible for the undergraduate courses offered by the various engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu. In this article we are providing the information about TNEA 2020.

The application form of TNEA 2020 will be available only in online mode. After filling in the online registration of TNEA application form 2020, the candidate will have to send printout of the completed online application in person or by post to:

The application form must be accompanied by photocopies of relevant certificates and photographs and must reach the above mentioned address on or before the last date. The registration fee must be paid only online. Candidates must pay the registration fee as per the category they belong to, or else their applications will be rejected.
When filling the application form of TNEA 2020, care must be taken to enter only genuine information. The TNEA application form 2019 will include fields like education details and personal details. Also, when uploading any documents, the candidate must conform to the prescribed format.
The admission into engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu will be based on class 12th Percentage. Candidates, those scores good marks in 10+2 examination, the priority will be given to them. On the basis of 12th percentage, the authority will release rank list. The TNEA Results/rank list will be published in the 4th week of June 2020. Candidates will get admission in the engineering Institution on the basis of the merit list.
The counselling of TNEA 2020 will be carried out according to merit and category-wise reservation of seats. Higher ranked candidates will be called for counselling of TNEA 2020 first and have more options to choose from. Candidates can pick their choices of branches and colleges from the available options at the time of counselling. Counselling will be held in offline mode and the candidate has to be present in person. If the candidate is unable to attend counselling for some unavoidable reasons, the parent of the candidate is allowed to attend counselling on behalf of the candidate.
Candidates who get shortlisted for counselling of TNEA 2020 have to pay the counselling fee either through Cash or DD. On the day of counselling, the candidate must also bring along originals of all relevant documents.
The placement cell of KCT organizes career guidance programs for the students. The cell arranges training programs like aptitude training, facing the interview, group discussions, soft skill trainings, etc. They also invite HR managers from different industries to conduct training programs for the students.
