The candidates appeared in NIFT written entrance examination at the exam centres chosen by them. NIFT entrance examination was held to test the candidates’ knowledge, skill and aptitude for the programme they opted. There was no negative marking applied for this entrance exam.
There are two separate procedures of selection for B.Des and B.F.Tech programmes at the institute. On the basis of result of written test GAT and CAT, shortlisted B.Des candidates are called for second test called Situation Test. For B.F.Tech candidates, GAT is the final test for selection.

The NIFT Entrance Exam application form 2018 are available online and offline also. The application form along with the prospectus can be downloaded from the NIFT official website. The application fee can be remit via online through the payment gateway or through the Demand Draft in favour of “NIFT HO” payable at New Delhi. The application fee for the general category and non-creamy OBC candidates is Rs. 1400/- through the NIFT payment gateway and Rs. 1500/- through the DD. The application fee for the SC/ST/PHP candidates is Rs. 800/- through the NIFT payment gateway and Rs. 900/- through the DD. The candidates may remit their application fee through the credit/debit cards as per the explanation in theofficial site. The filled application form should reach physically at the below address before the prescribed date.
