 About the Exam:

JEE Main is the popular engineering entrance exam in India. It is conducted by CBSE for admission to B.E./B.Tech & B.Arch courses. On the basis of JEE Main, candidates are admitted to NITs, CFTIs and other engineering institutions. JEE Main is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced which offers admission to IITs & ISM. Students can get complete information about JEE Main 2019 such as application form, eligibility, exam dates, exam pattern and syllabus.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for appearing JEE Main 2019 is given below:

Age Criteria:

  • Date of Birth: Candidates those born on or after 1st October 1993 are eligible for writing the JEE Main examination.
  • Relaxation: 5 years relaxation shall be provided in the upper age limit of SC/ST & PWD candidates (i.e. DOB falls on or after 1st October 1988).
  • Date of Birth will be considered as mentioned in secondary education board certificate.

Qualification Criteria:

  • Qualifying Exam: It is must for the candidates to pass the 12th examination/qualifying examination with 5 subjects to be eligible for JEE Main 2019.
  • Subjects: The qualifying examination must be passed/appearing with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
  • No Minimum Marks: There is no minimum marks requirement in 12th examination for writing the JEE Main exam. However, candidates have to secure the passing marks.
  • Passing Year: Those who have appeared and passed the higher secondary examination in 2017 and 2018 are also eligible to apply. Moreover, candidates appearing the final examination of 12th in 2019 can also fill the JEE Main application form.
  • In case if candidate appeared the 12th examination in 2016 but not passed in 2016, passed in 2017 are also not eligible.
  • Diploma Holders: Diploma holders may also apply for JEE Main 2019 but only eligible for admission to IITs. In other words, Diploma holders will be eligible for JEE Main so that they can further apply for JEE Advanced but not eligible for admission on the basis of JEE Main scores.

How to Apply:

All the aspirants must read the information brochure carefully before filling the online application form of JEE Main 2019 to get details about how to apply, application fee & payment mode. The details regarding JEE Main application form are given below:

  • Candidates have to fill the JEE Main application form via online mode only.
  • No printed copy will be provided to apply for JEE Main.
  • Applications will be released from 1st December 2018.
  • To apply for JEE Main, students should have Aadhaar Number/Aadhaar Enrollment Number/Registration Number which will be provided by facilitation center.
  • In addition to filling personal & academic details, candidates also have to upload scanned images of photograph and signature in prescribed specifications.
  • Candidates can download the acknowledgement page as the proof of successful submission of application form.

Exam Pattern:

Here, we are describing the JEE Main Exam Pattern 2019. It provides details about number of questions, subjects covered, marking scheme, etc. As JEE Main is conducted in two different papers. Check the exam structure separately for both the papers:

For JEE Main Paper-1:

  • Course: Paper-1 is conducted for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses.
  • Exam Mode: The exam mode for paper 1 will be offline (PBT) as well as online (CBT). Candidates can opt any one of the modes as per their suitability.
  • Subjects: The paper-1 will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
  • Number of Questions: 30 questions will be asked from each subject with total of 90 questions comprising of 360 marks.
  • Type of Questions: Only objective type questions will be asked in Paper-1.
  • Language: For all exam cities, the question paper medium choice will be English & Hindi(except exam centre cities in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli where choices for question paper will be English, Hindi and Gujarati). The choice for question paper should be exercised while filling up the application form.
  • Exam Duration: The time duration will be 3 hours.
  • Marking Scheme: Candidates will be provided with +4 marks for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: In case of wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.

For JEE Main Paper-2:

  • Course: Paper-2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch/B.Planning courses.
  • Exam Mode: The exam mode for this paper will be offline (PBT) mode.
  • Number of Questions: 30 questions will be asked in Mathematics (Part-1), 50 questions in aptitude test (Part-2) and 2 questions in drawing comprising of total 390 marks.
  • Type of Questions: The Mathematics and Aptitude test section will contain objective type questions. Drawing test will be subjective.
  • Language: For all exam cities, the question paper medium choice will be English & Hindi(except exam centre cities in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli where choices for question paper will be English, Hindi and Gujarati). The choice for question paper should be exercised while filling up the application form.
  • Exam Duration: The time duration will be 3 hours.

Syllabus:

JEE Main 2019 syllabus provides the details about topics and chapters that may asked in JEE Main paper-1 and paper-2 examination. Both the papers are for different courses, therefore, syllabus is also different for both. JEE Main syllabus for paper-1 contains important chapters from physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taught in 11th and 12th standard of CBSE, ICSE and other boards.

The admit card of IMU CET 2019 will be available tentatively from the second week of May 2019 in an online mode. Candidates can successfully download the IMU CET 2019 admit card after it is made available. The information that will be furnished on the admit card of IMU CET 2019 is:

  • Name of the IMU CET Exam centre
  • Address of the IMU CET Test centre
  • Photograph of the candidate
  • Signature of the candidate

IMU CET 2019 Result:

The IMU CET 2019 results will be announced in the 2nd week of June 2019. Candidates will check their results through online mode from our website. The authority will also send automated email/SMS regarding publication of the result. On the basis of the CET Score, candidates will be selected for the further counselling procedure.

IMU CET  2019 Counselling:

After the declaration of the result, shortlisted candidates have to register for counselling procedure. The online counselling registration will be started from the 2nd week of June 2019. The online counselling will be limited for admission into IMU campuses only. The affiliated institutions will not be included in the online counselling process. Candidates, those qualified the IMU CET 2019 exam may approach the Institution directly. About the Exam:

Common Entrance Test 2019 conducted Coimbatore marine college  for admissions to the various UG and PG programmes of the IMU and its Affiliated Institutes will be through All-India Common Entrance Tests (CETs) conducted every year. No candidate shall be admitted to any Programme by an Affiliated Institute unless

(i) The Institute has valid provisional Affiliation for the programme from IMU and

(ii) The candidate  has passed  the IMU CET.

There will be a CET common to all UG programmes.

For UG Programmes:

The syllabus of UG courses will be comprised of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Aptitude Test & General Knowledge. The syllabus is based on plus 2 levels (CBSE, ISE & State Boards).

For PG Programmes:

The syllabus of PG course consists of MBA & M.Tech Syllabus:

For MBA: The syllabus of an MBA programme is as follows: Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

For M.Tech: The syllabus for M.Tech Course is as follows: Mathematics General, Engineering, General Knowledge, English and Aptitude.

Eligibility Criteria:

If candidates have to apply for the IMU CET 2019, they have to check their eligibility first and then proceed to further process. Here, we are mentioning the IMU CET eligibility criteria:

Age Criteria:

  • Age Limit: The minimum age should be 17 years and maximum age should be 25 years on or before 1st August 2019.
  • Relaxation: There is relaxation of 5 years for reserved category candidates.
  • Martial Status: Only unmarried candidates can apply for this exam.

How to Apply:

  • Candidates can fill the IMU CET 2019 application form through online mode from the website.
  • The application form will be available from the 1st week of April 2019 till 2nd week of May 2019.
  • Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph, signature, 10th Mark sheet photocopy & category certificate (SC/ST).
  • Candidates should download and print filled-in application in standard format.
  • After the successful submission of the application form, automated e-mails/SMS will be sent to the candidates.

Application Fee

IMU CET 2019 application fee is given below:

  • Candidates can make payments via online or offline mode.
  • They can submit the fee through net banking/credit card or bank challan.
  • The application fee is Rs. 1000 for General candidates & Rs. 700 for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates.

Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern is mentioned here:

  • Mode of Exam: IMU CET will be held through online mode (Computer Based Exam).
  • Type of Questions: The question will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • No. of Questions: Total 200 questions will be asked in the examination.
  • Time Duration: The total time duration of the whole exam is 3 hours
  • Marking Scheme: Each question carries one mark for each correct answer.

The list of cities where IMU CET 2019 exam will take place is given below in the table. The IMU CET 2019 will take place in one shift from 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m tentatively in the last week of May 2019.
