Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences (SRIPS), Coimbatore was established in 1987. The college is managed and run by S.N.R. Sons Charitable Trust, Coimbatore. The college is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. The aimm of the college is to acquire knowledge from various medical systems and to create a systematic approach to medical sciences. Sri Ramachandra University (SRU), Chennai formerly known as Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute was established in 1985. The University was established as part of the Sri Ramachandra Education & Health Trust as a private not-for-profit self-financing institution and dedicated to serve the society as a centre of excellence with emphasis on medical education, research and health care. In view of its academic excellence, the Government of India declared Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute as a Deemed University in September, 1994 under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
The Joint Commission International (JCI) has accredited the University teaching hospital, the first teaching hospital in India to obtain such accreditation from JCI. The Medical Council of India (MCI) has recognized and upgraded the Regional Centre in Medical Education Technologies, Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Sri Ramachandra University, as a Nodal Centre to conduct both Basic and Advance course in Medical Education Technologies.

Raja Pharmacy College is one of the very few foremost colleges of the Rajas Group of Colleges, Vadakangulam, which had been established 25 years back in 1988 by Sardhar Dr. S. A. Raja, the Founder of Rajas Group of Colleges. And it is the only traditional Pharmacy College available for the three districts of Kanniyakumari, Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli in Tamilnadu.
Our college is located in Raja Nagar, Vadakangulam. It’s just 8 km from Kavalkinaru junction. The college is situated amidst wind mills which extend a few kilometres around Aralvaimozhi, the village having the largest wind farm in Asia.
